Andrea's 5 Things: Baby Lock Melody Sewing Machine for My Mother

So normally this blog is all about books, reading, authors, etc...But this time I will make an exception for a chance to win a Baby Lock Melody Sewing Machine for my mother. Her hobby which she's had for awhile now is quilting and I've been the recipient of several quilts. One of which my dog is extremely attached to - it's pretty hilarious, but he's an old dog and there's nothing wrong with a nice plush quilt for a dog, right?

My mother got into a very bad car accident less than a year ago and has been in a lot of pain. As a result of the accident she has a traumatic brain injury. She is slowly, but surely improving. One of the things that helps her cope with her limitations after the accident is quilting. That's one thing she can easily do, and it helps her relax and focus her attention elsewhere. The sewing machine she is using to quilt just isn't made for quilting and it's pretty old. This doesn't stop her from using it and getting in her "color therapy" as she calls it.

I would love to win the Baby Lock Melody Sewing Machine for my mother who has always been there for me, but needs a little extra TLC during her long road of recovery. This sewing machine would allow my mother to create quilts easier during her recovery!
