This books picks up shortly after the defeat of the Senzar forces by Stephanie and follows her struggles to be accepted and to right the wrongs of her mother. Once again Stephanie finds herself on an epic journey to save her beloved Cothel with a rag-tag bunch of soldiers. She must overcome some really tough odds to save her kingdom, but if anyone can do it, she can.
Stephanie has come into her own in this novel; she seems to have really grown up during her journeys. No longer does she seem like a petulant child at times, she is just the strong young woman who would do anything for love of family, honor and country.
I really love the relationships between Stephanie and her companions. Nowak does an outstanding job of introducing the relationships and different banter that comes with different relationships. Overall, I just have to say the characters are amazingly well written and developed. I can't wait for the next book!

ReplyDeleteI am sad I found this book blizt/tour a little too late. Mr. Nowak, both your books sound amazing and as soon as I can save enough Amazon credit up to purchase a kindle, I will definately be buying the 1st book in this series & if I enjoy that (I will first review it on my blog) then I will grab the 2nd book.
