Megan's life has been turned upside down by the death of her mother, and while trying to get back into a new normal routine she finds out a secret of her mother's that could impact the lives of several people. Tom, moved to Meadowbrook to escape his high profile divorce and didn't expect to be attracted to his new neighbor.
At first, Megan is suspicious of Tom, but she ends up leaning on him for help and finds out he isn't such a bad guy. While their feelings develop, their new relationship is tested by accidents and secrets. Can Megan learn to completely trust Tom and start their new happily ever after?

I thought this book was a nice, easy, and quick read. Beware, you will probably need some tissues as there are several parts that had me crying. If you are looking for explicit love scenes, you won't find it in this book (but I was just fine with that)! The author still does a great job of evoking the sexual tension and the feelings between Megan and Tom. You will find yourself rooting for these characters after the first meeting! I will definitely be reading more from this author!
